Running from Preschool to 6th grade, our Preschool & Children’s Ministry strives to teach our kids the complete truth about God’s Word. They are involved with many fun events and ministries throughout the year. Our teachers seek to help our children develop deep relationships with each other and, most importantly, with God.

Our youth group ranges from 7th -12th grade and is all about loving, encouraging, and being there for one another. Their time doesn’t stop on Sundays or Wednesdays, they love getting to hang out and spend time together on the weekends as well. Our youth leaders seek to grow our students towards a deep, sold-out love for Christ and a desire to make Him known.

Life Groups are our small groups that meet on Sunday mornings and any other additional time that the group decides. We offer groups of all ages, from College & Career to Senior Adults. These groups are encouraged to be more than just a “class,” but a group of brothers and sisters in Christ who do life together and seek to interact with each other just as much out of the church as within it.

Our Worship Choir helps lead worship on Sunday mornings by singing songs in the service, special arrangements, and music programs. They are a group of believers who enjoy “making a joyful noise to the Lord” (Psalm 95:1) and seek to help the congregation to worship “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). Any person in high school or older is welcome to join the Worship Choir. They practice every Sunday night following evening service.

Missions

The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 commands believers to “go and make disciples,” and we have taken these words from Jesus very seriously.  We believe that He intended for His church to be built with this command at the heart of everything we do. Our congregation is involved in hands-on missions locally, nationally, and around the world.

We support missions through the Cooperative Program and special offerings to SBC Mission Funds like Margaret Lackey, Annie Armstrong, and Lottie Moon, and we support Child Evangelism Fellowship, Mission Arlington, and the Flemings’ Mexico Missions annually. Below are a list of missions that we support full-time.

Our food pantry helps provide groceries for families in need on a weekly basis. Our goal is to not only meet their physical needs, but ultimately to help meet their spiritual needs. At the beginning of the school year, the food pantry also does Backpacks with Blessings. This ministry provides backpacks filled with school supplies for children in need.

Our church’s newest ministry seeks to reach out to the members of our congregation and community who are no longer able to physically attend services. The ministry organizes bi-weekly visits and calls to those who are homebound to check on and encourage them. The primary goal of this ministry is to make sure these people know they are loved and prayed for and to look for ways we can serve them.

Arise & Build is a ministry based out of our church that partners with other churches in our area to help individuals in our community and even other ministries in our state with any physical or construction needs they have. From families who need updated living conditions, to the elderly who need home repairs, to ministries who need help with larger, long-term projects, Arise & Build seeks to be the hands and feet of Jesus in every situation they can help with.

Bill and Keeana Koenig serve with Campus Outreach at Ole Miss. Campus Outreach hosts worship services, Bible Studies, and provides ways for students to serve others. They equip students to disciple others and provide opportunities for students to go on mission trips all over the world. Their commitment is to build kingdom laborers by establishing them with Biblical theology, intimacy with God, Christ-like character, ministry skills, and stewardship so that students and staff are mobilized to labor in the harvest field for the glory of God. Jon and Chrissy Espy are two of our own that founded SWAT (Spiritual Warriors Against Trafficking) in Chiang Rai, Thailand, a country more affected by human trafficking than any other in the world. Jon and Chrissy physically train workers who rescue human trafficking victims. The victims are also then trained to defend themselves. After rescue, they are placed in a home where they are ministered to and loved on. Jon and Chrissy also go into villages and do bible clubs, English days, and evangelism in the areas. They have one biological child and now seven adopted children. To learn more, visit https://www.swatministryintl.org/.

A.S. runs a ministry based out of the Middle East to spread the gospel to all those in their country and beyond. Please pray for A.S, their family, and their ministry as they risk their lives to witness in a country where the Christianity is illegal. (For the sake of security, all names, pictures, and locations have been withheld.)
